The National Cancer Institute (NCI) the Federal government's principal agency supporting cancer research; it is also responsible for carrying out the National Cancer Program.  NCI’s Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT) coordinates and deploys information technology (IT), data science, and informatics resources to support NCI research initiatives, both intramural and extramural.  Join GDIT as a Senior Business Analyst in its critical support for NCI programs to help CBIIT develop, coordinate, and provide biomedical information standards to evaluate, coordinate, and prioritize NCI's informatics research portfolio.

In this role, you will perform any combination of the following tasks:

  • Augment or direct teams providing high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation, and advise on exceptionally complex issues.
  • Requirements definition and documentation.
  • Support communications and outreach strategy, planning, development, and management.  Prepare documents, manuscripts and presentations.
  • Provide education, training, and user support for the NCI Cloud Resources including leading technical workshops and meetings and providing user support for researchers applying Cloud Resources to their research activities.
  • Support identification, analysis, and prioritization of systems requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, requirements definition, and documentation and a Master's degree in a scientific or technical (computer science, engineering, or similar) field.  Six years of additional directly related work experience above the minimum experience requirements for this position may be substituted for the Master's degree.
