GDIT has an immediate opportunity for a Systems Engineer with an active SECRET clearance. The selected candidate will support ONE-Net; the premier U.S. Navy Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) network that provides enterprise level support at multiple locations across the globe.   • Ability to provide 8x5 On Site and 24x7 On Call Support.
  • Analyze, evaluate and test software/hardware problems and submits findings to management.
  • Assist in configuration management of computer systems and networking between the systems.
  • Assist in the installation planning of computer facilities, evaluation of COTS application software (and upgrades) proposed for use on the network(s).
  • Collaborate with system owners and the Enterprise Application test team to evaluate COTS and GOTS software and hardware in support of POR functionality within COI configurations.
  • Develop, revise, and/or process System Integration (SI) documentation/testing/configuration in accordance with established processes.
  • Evaluate communications systems with regard to technological and regulatory issues.
  • Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
  • Maintain the SI process in alignment with configuration management program, to include maintaining baseline SI documentation and documents required for FRCB evaluation.
  • Oversee appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages.
  • Participate in system feasibility studies concerning computer performance, and hardware/software evaluations.
  • Participate in the design and development of integrated communications systems.
  • Perform requirement evaluations for each system integration project request to ensure Community Of Interest (COI) specifications, and design meet Program Of Record (POR)/System and host network requirements.
  • Perform systems installation and integration of computer operating system software, network software, application software, computer hardware, and supporting network or telecommunications systems.
  • Perform system related duties and functions at the direction of the Program Manager and/or Functional Supervisor.
  • Present recommended solutions for effective system performance.
  • Review POR/system accreditation artifacts and identify any accreditation actions, modifications, and/or reciprocity decisions necessary to meet requirements.
  • Support Navy C4I shore based site SI solutions, including deployment, troubleshooting, and system configuration documentation updates for secure COI configurations.
  • Writes detailed validation reports and analyzes complex data.


  • Experience and knowledge supporting multiple OCONUS locations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems in a 24x7 environment.
  • Experience supporting US DoD or US Navy customers and organizations.
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed customers and organizations.
  • Experience working with system software and hardware, data, voice or video.
  • Flexibility in adapting to and functioning in demanding and fluid environments or situations.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Interpersonal and communications skills to interact with customers and team members.
  • Skilled in time, priority and task management.

Required Certifications

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Baseline Certification
  • MCSA Windows Server 2012 OR HIGHER Certification
