GDIT is excited to support the SEC in as it seeks to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation.The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT program charged with operating, managing, and advancing the SECs IT infrastructure. Our dynamic program team of IT leaders and large and small business partners is seeking bright, energetic and talented individuals to join us as we bring our innovative IT Service Delivery solutions to SEC.Currently, we are seeking a UNIX/LINUX Engineer SME in Washington, DC to support the contract. The selected candidate must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a SEC Public Trust Suitability.Required Experience: 
  • Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience administrating and managing servers and systems, specializing in UNIX/LINUX operating systems. 
  • Must have experience leading technical team supporting system operations. 
  • Must possess a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification or equivalent. 

Duties: 
  • Responsible for leading and managing the administrative team for the UNIX/LINUX server infrastructure. 
  • Provides leadership and oversight to  Active Directory and SQL Server activities.  Plans and manages workloads, projects, and other administrative tasks associated with the Windows Server team. 
  • Provides subject matter expertise in troubleshooting all issues related to the Windows server infrastructure.
