Come join our GDIT team working as a remote network engineer with our Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) customer. The selected candidate will assess database load requirements for a cloud migration effort. The selected candidate must have knowledge and experience in provisioning and managing cloud hosted environments.
Responsibilities also include: - Assessment of on premises data and resources to determine cloud architecture requirements. - Preparing cloud architecture documentation and migration plans. - Ensuring proper application of DISA STIGs. - Providing connections to Boundary Cloud Access Points. - Provisioning Virtual Data Center Managed Services (VDMS) and the Virtual Data Center Security Stack (VDSS). - Deploying Virtual Machines in accordance with the project plan. - Projecting documentation concerning project progress and support customer reporting requirements. - Fully deploying multiple environments in accordance with the project plan and transition schedule. - Providing rapid response to customer feedback on pilots and deployments. - Creating and update design drawings and plans. - Ensuring that the provisioned solution includes appropriate consideration for size, growth, throughput, accessibility, and IOPS. - Providing on call support as needed and support incident and work order ticket resolution.
Requirements: - Five (5) years progressive IT experience in network engineering and administration. - SECRET Security Clearance with an SSBI investigation or a TS - A DoD 8570 compliant IAT III level certification (Ex: CISSP or CASP CE) - One of the following certifications: CCSE NGX, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI, CCMSE NG with AI, CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX, NSA, ESE, MCITP SA, MCSA.
