We are seeking a talented UI/UX Developer to join our team and play a critical role in the design, development, and beta testing of our mobile and web applications. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating intuitive user-centered experiences and will work directly with the client to deliver high-quality designs. The UI/UX Developer will be responsible for designing mock-ups and prototypes, testing new features, and maintaining a beta testing environment for iOS and Android.
HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
Collaborate with stakeholders and the development team to gather requirements and define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, experience, and team performance
Design and implement functional and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications
Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
Continuously iterate and improve upon existing designs based on user feedback
Understand product specifications and user psychology
Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
Demonstrate excellent customer-facing communication skills
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts
Conduct Android and iOS Security troubleshooting and implementation
Maintain beta test environment and conduct beta testing for each new version of Android and iOS
Implement styling in Android and iOS codebases
Conduct Android and iOS Security troubleshooting and implementation
Execute static mobile applications security testing (i.e. Kryptowire; Quokka)
Design and maintain supporting materials (web pages, documentation, and App Store listings) for application suite
Maintain and enhance customer and public facing print and digital publications (mailers/emails templates/usage guides, etc.)
Code/peer review of front-end styling for mobile and web applications
Final code/peer review for all mobile apps
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar design and prototyping tools
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field; or 5 - 7+ years of experience in UI/UX design for web and mobile applications
Portfolio demonstrating ability to design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Front-End, and mobile application development
Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices (i.e. Section 508)
Demonstrated skilled in client communication, both verbal and written
Experience working in an Agile software development lifecycle and knowledge of DevSecOps practices
Understanding of the User Experience Process and knowledge of user-centered design principles
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to advocate design principles and approach
Knowledge of software development lifecycle
Ability to interact, navigate and adapt to challenges in an ever-changing environment, managing expectations of customers and multiple teams.
Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage priorities effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Scrum Master experience
Experience with front-end design and development using Angular 9 or higher, Typescript, Bootstrap, Material, etc.
Experience with security assurance for mobile and/or web applications, including security hardening, security testing, or vulnerability management
Experience with mobile applications security testing tools
Experience with web application security testing tools, including dynamic application security testing (DAST), static application security testing (SAST), interactive application security testing (IAST), and/or similar testing strategies
