GDIT is seeking a full stack software developer in Falls Church, VA, to work on software systems for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program serving the National Security and Emergency Preparedness (NS/EP) community. In this role, you will perform software development work for GDIT’s contract to support the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Priority Telecommunications Services (PTS), delivered through service providers’ public networks. The PTS program provides priority voice, video, and data communications to the NS/EP community in times when the public telecommunications networks are experiencing stress from natural or man-made disasters, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, or other acts of war.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain/maintain a DHS EOD (public trust) and Secret clearance
Some telework allowed but must be local to the office.
Essential Job Functions:
Work across all the phases of an Agile software development life cycle (SDLC)
Collaborate with team members to implement enhancements or new applications
Develop code to meet customer and internal requirements
Lead or participate in design and code reviews to ensure compliance with standards
Estimate levels of effort to develop features to meet requirements
Create and maintain design documents and test plans
Adhere to standard operating procedures and security controls
Experience with Angular 2+ (7+ preferred), Typescript, Bootstrap and/or Material, NPM, etc.
Familiarity with security programming best practices
Recent .NET development experience using Visual Studio 2015 or higher
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or higher (including database relationships data normalization, and writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers)
Experience with Entity Framework and LINQ
Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
Ability to own a task and independently analyze, understand, troubleshoot, and modify existing software applications
Experience mentoring other developers (examples could include advocating development best practices, conducting peer reviews, providing Agile coaching, etc.)
Experience with debugging and testing software applications
Ability to work with cross-functional teams on resolving issues reported by customers
Eagerness to learn new technologies, accept new duties, and support dynamic work environment
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms
Experience with iOS and Android mobile applications
Experience developing code for Microsoft Azure environments
Experience developing code for IaaS and SaaS cloud architectures
