GDIT’s Strategy and Performance Group based in Arlington, VA, includes over 80 individuals with backgrounds spanning all phases of the human capital lifecycle. GDIT’s consultants work with Federal clients to develop, implement, evaluate, and improve human capital processes and programs. Our projects focus on employee engagement, workforce planning, performance management, HR measurement and metrics, diversity and inclusion strategy. They frequently involve:
Large-scale job analysis and competency modeling,
Training development and delivery,
Professional certification and credentialing,
Data analytics, and
Assessment design, development, validation, and evaluation.
The Strategy and Performance Group is currently seeking a workforce planning consultant who has experience supporting the workforce planning cycle for a federal agency. The consultant should be comfortable with forecasting needs, developing and analyzing gaps, developing and implementing closure strategies, and monitoring progress. This consultant’s primary responsibilities will be to:
Support data collection, analysis, and presentation of an Agency’s workforce,
Provide day-to-day direction to team members on assigned tasks,
Implement communication strategies for key stakeholder groups including preparing briefings and PowerPoint decks, memos, and emails. Maintain files on SharePoint and ensure version control and archiving of all final work products,
Participate with client in meetings and briefings with key stakeholders,
Manage timelines, schedules, client status reporting, and preparing monthly reports, and
Lead the development of the final workforce planning report.
While there is some flexibility for telework, this consultant’s primary work location will be at a client’s site in Alexandria, VA.
Qualified applicants should meet the following criteria:
An advanced degree in I/O Psychology, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or related field,
Certification in workforce planning (e.g., Strategic Workforce Planner (SWP)) is a plus,
At least four years of experience supporting the workforce planning cycle for a federal agency either as an employee or a contractor,
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills,
Experience creating written documentation for different stakeholders (e.g., leadership, offices)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate and build rapport with colleagues and clients,
Ability to travel to customer sites, as required.
