GDIT will deliver professional IT Services to an enormous team of customers/end-users worldwide.  The IT Services will include, but is not limited to:

  • Desktop Support
  • Software delivery
  • Customer/Vendor Engagements
  • Technical Exchange Meeting
  • Troubleshooting of complex technical incidents
  • Participation in Root Cause Analysis
  • Sustainment of various Cloud and Data Centers environments
  • Develop and coordinate all authorization documentation associated including the Systems Categorization, Systems Security Plan, and Systems risk assessment
  • Support the control assessment, reporting, and monitoring processes using the Cyber Security and Assessment Management (CSAM)

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Communicate/coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance windows with potentially impacted customers
  • Collaborate and contribute to the development, engineering, and testing of backup and recovery plans
  • Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation
  • Ensure systems are secure to STIG guidelines by utilizing tools such as Retina and HBSS
  • Maintain operational, configuration, and other standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Verify system availability with existing Enterprise tools
  • Create and modify scripts in multiple disciplines on Windows, Linux, and Solaris Systems
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution


  • Bachelors Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
  • Must have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire
  • TS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly
  • Experience with UNIX, Windows, and/or Storage
  • Experience working with trouble reporting and tracking systems such as Service+
  • Ability to respond to after-hour calls “provide on-call support”
  • Ability to travel 0-20% to local area sites as well as other locations with similar architecture/footprint
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee will need to be able to lift/move/carry equipment as necessary (max 40 pounds)
  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the imagery intelligence domain a plus
  • Knowledge of the Customer’s processes and procedures and of the Customer’s production systems a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to function as a team member and independently
  • Prefer skills in one or more of the following: Window Server, Red Hat, IRIX, Solaris, Sybase, Informix, SQL, and Imagery Production Chain

The likely salary range for this position is $100,248 - $167,413, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
