US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.
This position is responsible for developing, testing, and monitoring systems and network status alerts, notifications, and dashboards to provide real-time proactive monitoring for all US BICES-X systems and networks utilizing tools such as SPLUNK, SolarWinds and Microsoft SCSM.
Manages Microsoft SCSM and IT Service Management (ITSM) Principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
Monitors the integrity, security and availability of servers and systems.
Maintains system documentation
Interacts with users and customers, evaluates service availability of vendor products.
Develops and implements policies and standards for monitoring Enterprise services.
Provides advice and training to end-users.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Develops and maintains monitoring dashboards, performs data analysis to provide requested data points and identify negative or positive trends.
Ability to learn vendor specific administrative programming language.

5 years of Systems Engineering/Administration experience required
Experience with monitoring, service support and incident escalation for customers
Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
IAT Level 2 (Security+ CE) or higher required.
Must be willing to work shift work.
ITIL 3 or 4 Certification
Network Troubleshooting and Incident Response experience.
Service Desk experience
SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) Certification
Splunk Administrator track Certification
