GDIT is looking for a Public Relations Senior Manager to join the growing GDIT Corporate Marketing and External Communications Team in Falls Church, Virginia. You will report to the VP of Marketing and Communications and lead GDITs public relations strategy and proactive media campaigns in support of the companys strategic objectives. In this role, you will collaborate with executive leadership, technical subject matter experts, a creative marketing team, and the wider Growth organization to create best-in-class PR programs.

What will you own?

  • Develop and execute GDITs press and media strategy
  • Proactively develop and manage relationships with industry reporters
  • Formulate proactive media campaigns aligned to business priorities
  • Manage PR agencies
  • Prepare company spokespersons for media engagements
  • Report on media campaign outcomes and coverage
  • Monitor industry press activity and manage corporate press releases
  • Consult with technical subject matter experts and customer facing teams
  • Maintain GDITs crisis communications plan

Who you are...

  • Bachelors Degree and 6+ years of related experience
  • Experienced -Proven experience developing public relations strategies in business-to-business or business-to-government markets
  • An expert - Extensive experience in establishing and managing reporter relationships with the ability to execute the appropriate degree of press outreach
  • A strategic thinker who can synthesize information from various sources to create an actionable point of view. Ability to translate strategic plans into actionable execution
  • A leader. Ability to influence and coach across functional teams and executive leadership
  • Measure and controlled. Ability to be measured and thoughtful under pressure
  • A team player. Strong team player with a track record of cross-functional collaboration
