At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Site Operations Manager manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area. In this role, a typical day will include:
Operations manager duties and responsibilities may include interviewing, selection, and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; authoring and discussing with employees performance appraisals; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards.
Be available during core hours of operations (6am-6pm), to include at times outside of core hours
Performs complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of a contract program
Plan, execute, and close projects that meet or exceed customer objectives
Create clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality
Manage site projects and work with stakeholders to ensure successful completion and transition to operations team
Ensure staff know and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team members
Ensure project schedules are met and system resources are used effectively
Ensures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services
Maintain day to day site operations ensuring all PRS guidelines are met and projects are completed on time
Work closely with management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation
Participates in special projects as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS and 5+ years of directly related IT operations experience.
Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
