Operations Analyst Expert:

We are looking for an individual with expert level experience in Department of Defense (DoD) and Military operations to assist the ARMA Business Area in supporting mission capabilities to our primary customers. The position will provide support to programs and active customers as well to future customers and requirements.

Responsible for completing assigned goals and working with little to no supervision. Must have experience in working in USSOCOM and be familiar with the Command and its policies and processes. Experience with DoD level policy regarding information handling, CAPCO markings and handling of sensitive documents, processes and procedures. Experience in policy writing and interpretation. Work in a cross functional team with other departments and agencies and coordinate across military services and DoD organizations to evaluate and understand initiatives and gaps. Maintain references, record documents and information from a variety of sources related to providing support. Aid in responding to short-fused requests for information and/or justification for initiatives and assessments. Position is responsible for coaching, training and mentoring less experienced team members. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Working in conjunction with team members and be responsible for developing and executing strategies for assigned efforts

  • Managing the effective execution of efforts tracking performance to cost and schedule, and communicating status to leadership.

  • Develop and maintain high quality relationships with customers and partners, including vendors.

  • Provide insight and advice regarding DoD program requirements management, budgeting, and strategic direction for platforms, programs, or systems supporting DoD forces

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree or Equivalent Experience in addition to 15+ years of military experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • SOF experience

  • Experience managing & leading teams

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to interpret and apply policy and rules

  • Research skills for gathering information

  • Experience in Risk Mitigation

  • Skilled in standard approaches in gathering, analyzing, documenting and briefing information

  • Ability to effectively convey requirements, concerns and capabilities to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner

  • Experience supporting military personnel and units

  • Experience with military and DoD strategic planning process.

  • Active TS/SCI

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Intelligence / Counterintelligence experience

  • Experience in Project Management

  • Former US Military O-6 and experience briefing senior military officials (SES/GO)
