GDIT is seeking a Principal Network Integrator / Programmerto help support our Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next-Gen (JSP ETM - NG) program at the Pentagon Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. Due to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require the employee to report full-time onsite.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Programming applications like Ansible to push changes to network devices.
Strong team player and able to push through objectives.
Programming and scripting for 5+ years.
Strong understanding of routing / switching.
Discuss fundamentals of TCP/IP (ports and traffic flow).
IP Subnet and subnetting.
Configured network tools to provide up-to-date configurations of network devices.
Strong understanding RegEx.
Utilized Remedy (ITSM) / Service Now (SNOW) for task management.
Troubleshoot and initiate tasks without direct supervision.
Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Current Security+ CE certification (or equivalent certification).
At least ONE nationally recognized certification for network administrator/engineering.
3+ years experience working in a DoD environment.
Experience with Ansible Automations (Tower)
Programming and scripting with products like:
KSH, Bash, SH
Troubleshoot devices not responding to management tools.
Configuring and installing various network devices and services.
Use of current and emergent network design principles and protocols.
Experience with network virtualization technologies (software defined network).
Experience with multi-tenant applications.
Able to report onsite as indicated above
Experience with public clouds such as AWS, Azure, Google, Rackspace
Able to integrate and troubleshoot software applications and hardware platforms (as an individual with limited supervision)
Capable of scripting in PowerShell, Python, TCL and / or PERL.
Experience with Network monitoring (server, application, and transport).
