General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking Functional Analyst who holds secret clearance.
The Global Freight Management system supports the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) as the surface transportation component of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), which leads the Department of Defense with all of their military transportation requirements.
GDIT provides development, maintenance, and sustainment support for the GFM as partners with the SDDC. GFM is comprised of more than a dozen web-based/cloud-based applications which facilitate the communication between SDDC, shipping businesses, and commercial transport companies in support of the bidding, selection, and coordination of military equipment and personnel requiring transportation anywhere around the world.
Key responsibilities will include:
Act as liaison between developers and the PMO; communicate daily with our government counterparts and your project team developers. This will create a better working relationship for us all and increase our knowledge on how the system works.
Record and publish meeting minutes for all requirements meetings and meeting minutes are not optional. This is a part of being CMMI compliant so please ensure that meeting minutes are published within 48 business hours of a requirements meeting. They should also be peer reviewed and moved through the editing process. Focus on capturing Meeting Attendees, Overview, Decisions made, and Action Items.
Update user stories & SBM spreadsheets. This should be done following every requirements meeting and anytime a requirement is clarified or added by the PMO. Additionally updating the SBM spreadsheet daily.
Take care to make sure projected work lines up with SBM Agile Project Name and Agile Number.
Ensure user stories have acceptance criteria
User stories and acceptance criteria will be written in a collaborative effort between the PMO, GDIT Functionals and developers during the requirements meetings. Create SBM items for team as needed
Create JIRA tickets when needed for project team (has replaced RTC) Update JIRA to match HQ 40 matrix – We will need to get training for JIRA from Blake. The plan is for the HQ 40 matrix to go away as soon as we can show how JIRA can support our efforts.
Functional testing: Match user stories to final development to prevent confusion for QA and PMO.
Despite being vigilant throughout the process there will be times when things change at the last minute. We need to make sure that before a SBM item is delivered to QA the user story matrix 100% matches the functionality.
Initiate project development documents with your team. Ensure SBM items are ready to move to next environments by contacting Developers so they can create the document and send the request to the SAs and RM when they are needed.
Deployment docs and request that SA Fortify PRs before deploying to Staging.
Follow the project life cycle process to the end of the release and conduct Demos to PMO regularly.
Gather screen shots for user manual and publicity release documents to be passed to the Editing team.
Recognize project development delays before they become a show stopper, relate impending delays to Management.
The likely salary range for this position is $59,200 - $88,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
