Duties and Responsibilities:​

  • Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Maintains system documentation.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates requisition and installation in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Develops and implements backup recovery.
  • Develops and implements application testing strategies and document results.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Maintains and provides the guidance and troubleshooting for the virtual and physical infrastructure architecture enclaves within the network boundary.
  • Supports and leads the STIG and RMF updates for all systems within the network enclave boundary.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience
  • AA/AS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training

Certification(s):

  • Candidate must have or be able to obtain within six months of hire a certification meeting DoD approved 8570 IAT level II baseline (CCNA, Sec+, CySA+, etc.)

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012/2016 or newer
  • Comprehensive knowledge of virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Familiar with maintaining and operating HBSS
  • Familiar with maintaining and operating SQL server
  • Familiar with configuring and deploying ACAS scans
  • Experienced in applying patches/updates and STIGs

Security Clearance Required:

Must have or be able to attain an active SECRET
