At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Logistics Analyst, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Maintaining good communication with the team
  • Office provides substantial procurement and traditional logistics services in support of the group’s local, domestic field and foreign field operations
  • Logistics personnel support all of the group’s mission elements, including those that are associated with domestic and field sites
  • Logistics services are provided through several teams that include officers and contractors serving in geographically oriented shared services platforms and officers and contractors that are co-located with the group’s mission elements and with support centers
  • This is a worldwide team that is collaborative and synergistic, that is integrated into mission, and that leverages technology to develop and deliver agile solutions
  • Candidate needs to be a results-oriented team player, flexible, and willing to meet the challenges and changing needs of the organization
  • Candidate should be able to interpret, understand, and adjust to time sensitive requirements
  • Candidate will be involved in providing customer support to both internal and external customers
  • This office is heavily weighted toward accountable property control but does cover the full range of logistical duties to include procurements, accountable property, shipping and receiving
  • Team consists of one deployed staff logistics officer and is aligned with five logistical teams based on organizational and geographic structures and locations
  • Required to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining good communications with the team, both transactional and dynamic work
  • Must have both written and verbal communication skills
  • Arrival and departure are governed by the core hours of the Customer 0700-1600; work schedule shifts preferred to cover majority of core hours
  • Our team’s services include the following: delivery of materials; accountable property transactions; inventory management; record keeping; and database administration, processing, and maintenance services; property turn-in (PTI) services; pouch and courier support services; shipping and transportation coordination services; coordination of support through other sponsor elements; e.g., data voice video (DVV), and office relocations and support operational environments, including security and other implications
  • Candidate will be a responsible officer for several Consolidated Memorandum of Receipt (CMR) and will be required to maintain inventory tracking protocols, enter in new equipment, and process end of life material
  • Candidate will need awareness in procurement processes and awareness of cover concerns for equipment maintenance and shipping transactions


  • The position requires intermediate skills in Sponsor procurement system, messaging systems, Sponsor internal shipment tracking system, Sponsor asset tracking software, products and services catalog, Sponsor office supply ordering system, branch accountable property database, Microsoft SharePoint, price estimate tool, basic Microsoft Excel, Lotus Notes, internal communication system, Sponsor asset management authorities system, Adobe and Microsoft Office.  The office is willing to provide some on the job training upon arrival for specific inventory database transactions related to accountable property.
  • Proficient with sponsor asset tracking software and branch accountable property database as well as having the capability to utilize Microsoft Excel for inventory controls is preferred
  • Pallet jack skills requested, and forklift skills not required
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment when needed


  • HS Diploma
  • TS/SCI w/polygraph
  • Must be able to lift boxes (50 lbs in a single lift), help move safes with safe dollies, and to package for shipping and property turn-in (PTI)
  • Must be able to cover multiple Washington Metro Area buildings based on ad hoc requirements of Customer
