GDIT has an opportunity for an experienced Program Director to join an IT Operations Project for a Federal Government Agency. The candidate will provide oversight to IT Operations in an SAFe Agile environment. Candidate will be responsible for the successful cost, schedule, and performance of the contract. Serves as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), the Government Program Manager, and the Contractor’s senior management. Directly contributes to program efforts in several areas, including cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities. Ensures proper performance of tasks necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the contract. The PM shall utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents.

Required Education and Experience

A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in project and program

management including:

  • Have been a PM of at least two large Federal government >300 Full-Time-Equivalent (FTEs).
  • Experience in Agile IT transformation moving from Waterfall to Agile and/or ITIL 3 to ITIL 4 with experience working with customer leadership, training, staffing, organizing, and delivering.
  • Experience with managing or enabling DevSecOps culture and implementation of CI/CD pipelines in an integrated IT environment
  • Experience should include Agile/iterative software development, data analytics within a Cloud environment.
  • Certifications should include PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-ACP.
  • Prefer SAFe scaled agile and/or ITIL 4 certification.
  • Exceptional technical aptitude and verbal communications skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Program Management / IT Business / Computer Science / Engineering
  • Shall have demonstrated experience in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms such as Earned Value Management
