Performs a variety of general administrative tasks in support of the day-to-day operations for upper management level in a government agency or similar experience vs. administrative office experience.
1. Performs a variety of general administrative tasks, such as preparing reports and correspondence, coordinating scheduling, travel, and meeting arrangements, answering phones, organizing electronic files, and sorting and distributing mail, in support of the day-to-day operations of an office, group or customer.
2. Compiles, analyzes, and audits various contract, program, and financial documents and files using various database programs and platforms, and prepares monthly status reports based on the results.
4. Processes purchasing requisitions, invoices for consultants and subcontractors, and travel and expense reports.
5. Serves as point of contact for the office or group on issues related to accounting, human resources, purchasing, and other departments, as well as external contacts such as customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
6. May provide work leadership to less experienced clerical and administrative personnel.
7. Participates in special projects as required.
8. Must be able to obtain Public Trust
Education/Equivalent Training Required
Associates Degree in a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
Experience
3-5 years of related administrative experience.
Unique/Additional Requirements
Strong user of Zoom and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented
Must be able to plan and organize their own workload
Must be able to work in the Washington, DC office on Tuesdays and Thursdays Hours: 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm.
Experience working with hybrid (virtual and in-person) teams preferred
