Fabricates installs maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment. Specifically storage area networks, the installation, maintenance, upgrading of major storage network OEMs. Hardware break-fix maintenance and troubleshooting. Storage network troubleshooting. Working with help desks, logistics networks, knowledge bases, and procedures.
Physically installing new storage area networks from the ground up, including racking of equipment, running of communications and power cables, connecting to network and configuring IP addresses, and bringing equipment up to current code levels.
Performing and troubleshooting scheduled code upgrades on storage arrays, storage switches, and others, often times after normal business hours.
Frequent travel among supporting DoD and other sites in EMEA region.
Requires personal vehicle for reimbursed travel.
Top Secret clearance heavily preferred, but would consider secret with ability to obtain top secret.
This position will work from home (must live within a 4 hour drive to Miami,FL), and will not be expected to report to an office everyday, but time management and flexibility is needed. The ability to travel outside of the country on short notice.
Ability to work after normal business hours, and to be able to be flexible with time.
Bachelors in relevant field preferred.
Relevant storage area network technical training and certifications, as well as DoD 8570.
Demonstrated experience, preferably over 5 years working with major storage area network original equipment manufacturers, in installation and maintenance of equipment. Storage Area network certifications or the ability to immediately achieve them.
The ability to travel outside of the country on short notice.
Active Top Secret Security Clearance, will consider candidates with an active Secret Clearance and TS eligibility.
Storage Area Network certifications and DoD 8570.
Ability to physically rack equipment and pull communications cables under floors or overhead in ceilings.
