Knowledge Manager

HOW A TECHNICAL EDITOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Task associated with Documentation Specialist/ Knowledge Manager Role:
  • Effectively manage and maintain capability documentation.
  • Assist with ensuring storage of government documentation meets government standards/ requirements.
  • Eliminate duplicate and outdated documentation and replace it with the most current documentation in circulation, which aides/ensures the best allocation of resources and aides in team productivity.
  • Managing documentation and document composition based on classification and handling requirements.
  • Ensure capability documentation meets government and contractual requirements.
  • Gather and report documentation metrics to leadership.
  • Technical editing for multiple contract capability documentation and routing through NETCOM process for finalizing.
  • Ensuring all team members in the organization are aware of the available documentation resources, documentation requirements, and review schedules.
  • Interact with staff members, team, and capability leaders, as well as clients.
  • Stay current on NETCOM documentation processes, requirements.
  • Encourage the use of NETCOM documentation process and government requirements to meet contractual obligations/requirements.
  • Utilize knowledge base resources and train staff, provide training aides to help them access the knowledge management tools.
  • Track and manage all documentation and various stages of the NETCOM Documentation Management Team process.
  • Provide updates and needed support to complete documentation tasks.
  • Catalog all documentation and utilize version control.
  • Archive outdated/required documentation for capabilities, vendors and other capabilities tasked to produce documentation of AES and GEF.
  • Maintain a constructive work relationship with all contract staff and all levels of management.
  • Create documentation to capture processes for every department and ensure each team has substantial documentation for repeated success and documentation of processes, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Encourage completion of documentation processes and procedures in accordance with contractual obligations.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent years of experience
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Certification: 8570 Certification: IAT Level 1 Certification (A+CE, CCNA Security, CND, Network+CE, or SSCP) OR IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP): ITIL v4 Foundations within 6 months of hire.

● Required Technical Skills: Managing documentation and document composition based on classification and handling requirements; Technical editing for multiple contract capability documentation and routing through NETCOM process for finalizing.

● Security Clearance Level: Interim SECRET
● Required Skills and Abilities: Track and manage all documentation and various stages of the NETCOM Documentation Management Team process.

● Location: On Customer Site Ft Huachuca
● US Citizenship Required
