Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Training Specialist you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a trainer joining our team to support webinars and workshops (virtual and on-site) to provide technical training to water utility personnel and water sector partners and stakeholder organizations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Develops, organizes, and conducts training programs.
Contributes to development and completion of training materials.
Oversees the planning and designing of instructional methods and materials.
Delivers on-site and/or virtual workshops, simulation exercises and discussion groups.
Facilitates discussion sessions during on-site and virtual training workshops.
Develops measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of trainings, webinars, and workshops.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant training and technology.
May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Prior training and facilitation experience
● Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication skills, technical writing, attention to detail

● Preferred Experience: Prior experience with water utilities, water sector stakeholders highly desired; ability to train on technical subject matter
● Location: Remote

● Citizenship: US Citizenship Required

● Travel: 30-40% travel required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
