Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Training Specialist you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a trainer joining our team to support webinars and workshops (virtual and on-site) to provide technical training to water utility personnel and water sector partners and stakeholder organizations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Develops, organizes, and conducts training programs.
  • Contributes to development and completion of training materials.
  • Oversees the planning and designing of instructional methods and materials.
  • Delivers on-site and/or virtual workshops, simulation exercises and discussion groups.
  • Facilitates discussion sessions during on-site and virtual training workshops.
  • Develops measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of trainings, webinars, and workshops.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant training and technology.
  • May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience  

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Prior training and facilitation experience
● Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication skills, technical writing, attention to detail

● Preferred Experience: Prior experience with water utilities, water sector stakeholders highly desired; ability to train on technical subject matter
● Location: Remote

● Citizenship: US Citizenship Required

● Travel: 30-40% travel required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
