At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Solutions Architect supporting Indianapolis, you will be trusted to work support a large city-county wide managed application services program. This position works under the general guidance of the Program Manager, a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment, and requires strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.

The Solutions Architect provides oversight of all project aspects focusing on fulfilling business and technical performance, cost, and schedule objectives for delivering a product or service. May be responsible for managing the implementation of new processes or the improvement of existing capabilities. Evaluate existing policies and practices related to client operations and develop solutions aligned with business goals and objectives. Involved throughout the lifecycle and maturity model from inception through design, production, implementation, operational support, and continual improvement phases of projects. Solution management focus is on the product or service and its packaging, pricing, delivery, support, service, as well as how it interacts and any synergies to other solutions within the city-county. Additionally, the candidate for this position will:

  • Identify and interpret requirements for the design, development, and delivery of technical and service solutions.
  • Evaluate existing policies and practices related to their companys operations and provide recommendations for improved effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop solutions for specific issues or participate in project planning for specific products.
  • May be involved with defining and delegating tasks related to project completion and participate in creating project budgets, schedules, and quality plans.
  • Measure, evaluate, and assess effectiveness of products and process and develop new strategies to improve performance.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to development and proposal teams.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

While Telework will be possible most days, there will be frequent customer site meetings, so the selected applicant must be able to meet customer facility COVID requirements

  • Have the ability to handle demanding situations with clarity, focus and professionalism, and to respond quickly to quick turnaround taskers.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technology with 5+ years of experience.
  • Ability to resolve issues with little oversight; ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics to management and other stakeholders
  • Supervisory or project management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently as well as interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and strict attention to detail
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; Critical thinking and creative problem solving
  • Ability to understand and manage customer expectations and software implementation methodology
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple initiatives/deadlines autonomously and shift priorities as necessary.
