GDIT is seeking a Senior D365 Architect who will be responsible for the ongoing architecture and planning in support of the DevOps and continuous optimization of the VA’s premier CRM application suite based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 delivered via the Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) Software as a Service (SaaS).  In this capacity, you will work with and advise DevOps development teams, cyber security certification planners and analysts and system architects to operate and sustain the CRM application suite, and plan for its enhancement.  Responsibilities will include ensuring the attainment of contractually mandated SLO’s (Service Level Objectives); the development and maintenance of integration middle ware in Azure and supporting documentation, as well as supporting the design and development of system architecture, SaaS integration patterns and design, user test cases and test plans; release planning, design patterns in Azure to support data between D365 GCC environments and; the evaluation of system Change Requests.  Your contributions and leadership will be vital to providing a positive, high quality user experience to our nation’s veterans.

In this role, you will serve as a Technical Architect to support the Microsoft Dynamics 365 DevOps program for the VA supporting over 70,000 VA employees that use the D365 implementations on a daily basis to provide customer service to Veterans, their families and beneficiaries. You will support the sustainment, operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the D365 based systems and their integrations with the VA’s enterprise.  You will interface with extensively with VA business stakeholders, VA Line of business leadership and VA central office client stakeholders, including the Veterans Experience Office (VEO) staff, VA OIT leadership, COR and VA Privacy Officers, and are expected to document and resolve any issues that arise. You will be responsible for ensuring common design and best practices across multiple teams and scale the program to support over 14 D365 applications migrating to the DevOps sustainment model.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support daily operation, maintenance and optimization of the VA’s MS Dynamics 365 CRM application suite ;
  • Provide production support to include partner integrations where changes and maintenance activities must be considered
  • Support VA to insure clear communication with Microsoft regarding SaaS status of required security parameters and to maintain compliance with VA security controls and profile
  • Support system interruptions and ticket resolutions in customer required timeframes
  • Support to DevOps development teams;
  • Review and risk assessment of Change Requests;
  • Communicate any issues, problems, or risks to leadership with recommended solutions;
  • Meet with program personnel and VA stakeholders and support to reporting efforts;
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for PMO and VA personnel, and;
  • Utilize professional judgement, critical thinking skills and research to resolve issues affecting system performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline with at least 10+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience related to supporting architecture, design and deployment of CRM systems specifically Microsoft Dynamics CRM/ D365;
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft administration and productivity tools;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting, and;
  • Must reside in the USA

    • MB-230 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service Certification
    • MB-400 Microsoft Power Apps + Dynamics 365 Developer Certification
    • MB-600 Microsoft Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect Certification
  • Agile Certifications, such as:
    • Scaled Agile Framework certification
    • Agile Scrum Muster certification
    • Agile Product Manager or Product Owner certification
  • Azure Certifications, such as:
    • Azure Data Engineer Associate
    • DP-200: Implementing an Azure Data Solution
    • DP-201: Designing an Azure Data Solution
  • Previous Department of Veterans Affairs experience
  • Active VA access including assigned CAG and PIV is a plus
  • Previous experience supporting Contact Centers
  • Experience in integrating Microsoft Dynamics with Microsoft SharePoint and Office365
  • Experience with modern authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth and OpenID
  • Experience with integration services, including SSIS packages, KingswaySoft, or Scribe
  • Experience with setting up and configuring new organizations for Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Previous government experience executing CDRL-based contracts / Task Orders
