GDIT is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to support the Joint Education and Training System (JETS) Program. This person will be responsible for supporting the JETS Project execution, and delivery activities. In this role, the candidate will support Business Process definition, implementation and continuous improvement activities for all activities performed by GDIT personnel and subcontractors, to satisfy JETS program requirements.

Typical duties include:

  • Manage process lifecycle from beginning to end, identify potential project risk and escalate where necessary to ensure schedule, deliverables and outcomes remain on track
  • Create and update project, functional, and technical documents required as part of the application development lifecycle for a DoD project which includes business & functional process requirements, detail functional process designs, technical design input, use case and other process centric deliverables
  • Leads the analysis, proposal, design and implementation of complex processes
  • Works with Chief Engineer, Requirements Engineer and others to elicits, captures, validates and analyzes the business process/requirements of stakeholders
  • Applies proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to support subject matter experts in decisions regarding process optimization and technological solutions
  • Researches and maps end-to-end views of business processes
  • Analyzes business processes and identifies and validates opportunities for streamlining
  • Designs detailed end-to-end business processes based on confirmed understanding of process drivers and metrics
  • Creates business process analysis documentation including use cases, usage scenarios, process flows, data dictionaries, requirements traceability matrices, design documents and workflows to meet process outcomes
  • Performs configuration management of process documentation
  • Analyzes operational data and provides a process for identifying system/operational problems and solutions
  • Analyzes planned changes to assess impact on customer, stakeholder, and team business processes
  • Utilizes best practices in supporting organizational process change activities as new use cases, applications and services are implemented to meet emerging capability needs and benefits

Experience Requirements: 

  • 5 years experience managing process development and implementation for large IT projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Educational Requirements:

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)

Certification Requirements: 

  • Candidate must have one of the following certifications;
    • (CBPA) - Certified Business Process Associate
    • (CBPP) - Certified Business Process Professional
    • Business Process Management Certification from BPM Institute
    • Business Process Management Certification from AIIM
    • OMG Certified Expert in BPM (OCEB 2)
    • (CPRE) - Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering certification
  • ITSM Certifications desired
