This position is in support of the Rocky Mountain Laboratories Team and is aligned with the Workstation Development Team, which is responsible for both Windows and Macintosh platforms. You will collaborate with the High-Performance Computing team in the support of Linux-based desktop/laptop systems, as well as the Cybersecurity Engineering Team.

**This position is remote now but you must be able to work at the work location in Hamilton, MT when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot Microsoft Office and other third-party applications using telephone and remote access technologies for both Windows, Apple, and Linux OS-based computers.
  • Test and configure hardware and software for use in the enterprise environment including desktop, laptop and tablet models.
  • Investigate and respond to security events and potential incidents in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Drive the mitigation of security related findings to ensure appropriate progress within recommended time frame.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • BS/BA (or equivalent) and two years related experience
  • Knowledge of and ability to administer Windows, Apple, and Linux OS-based desktop, laptop and mobile computer devices in an enterprise environment.
  • Administer computers through Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Jamf including, but not limited to, operating system deployment, software deployment and metering, and reporting.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, registry and files system security as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain a NIH Public Trust

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • Familiarity with enterprise computer management basic concepts
  • Basic knowledge of networking principles
  • Experience with Tenable Nessus Security Center
  • Experience with computer encryption technologies such as Check Point FDE
