As the Senior Project Manager, your role is to lead the team on large projects or significant segment of large complex projects. In addition, the Senior Project Manager will analyze new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology tools and solution components for the US BICES-X AFRICOM program. A successful Project Manager provides applications systems analysis and programming activities for a Government site, facility or multiple locations. The Project Manger prepares long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance and production activities for necessary support resources. The Project Manager oversees all aspects of the project by promoting and utilizing AFRICOM's assets to achieve overall success. This role is an ideal leadership opportunity for a technical leader who has a proven track record of successfully driving projects from concept to commercialization.
Strategy & Planning
Accomplishes human resources objectives, by recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations.
Reviews potential candidates from Human Resources and chooses candidates that can actively contribute to AFRICOM projects.
Evaluates business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
Provides technical, administrative and operational management of assigned projects or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.
Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.
Determines and defines project scope and objectives.
Collaborates with team members to ensure efficiently throughout program
Acquisition & Deployment
Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, task order and administrative reporting.
Interacts and provides effective leadership across cross-functional teams including AFRICOM Program Management, Engineering, Logistics, and Information Assurance.
Tracks project costs in order to meet budget.
Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
Manage contracts with vendors by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards.
Completes audits and determines if system/changes are needed.
Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.
Effectively communicates your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Use years of experience populated by iCIMS.
5+ years experience in Project Management or other Functional Lead Role
Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
In-depth understanding of office management and daily operations.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work.
Great attention to detail and presentation.
Results driven, highly efficient, energetic and highly motivated.
Must possess a high degree of intelligence, competence, maturity, adaptability, resilience, integrity and initiative.
The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practice.
