Duties and Responsibilities

This position will require mix of technical excellence, strong communication; customer service skills and IT Sservice Mmanagement (ITSM) process knowledge and experience.  This position will require mix of technical excellence, strong communication; customer service skills and IT service management process knowledge.

  • Evaluate current ITIL ITSM environment and existing Implementation Plans to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide leadership and ITIL ITSM experience to simplify and improve the current processes based on industry best practices
  • Perform gap analysis and provide recommendations
  • Develops strategies to eliminate gaps in service while improving efficiency and effectiveness
  • Works with stakeholders to communicate ITSM vision and benefits
  • Identifies and removes risks associated with proposed processes
  • Provide ITIL best practice service management consulting at a strategic, design, and operational level
  • Champion organizational change and adoption of service management best practices by providing coaching and training until processes become ingrained into the culture
  • Assists with organizational transformation efforts
  • Provides guidance and implements processes and artifacts for Service Strategy, Service Design, Continual Service Improvement processes
  • Build a strong ownership culture and encourage collaborative collaboration within the Client & Internal Delivery teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • ITIL Expert Certification
  • 10+ years of experience with large and complex ITSM engagements, preferably to include ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • Demonstrated applied knowledge of real-world environments in both the Service Support and Service Delivery focus areas
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade, influence and effectively embrace client and stakeholder relationships
  • Advanced communication (oral and written) skills; the ability to listen effectively, react appropriately to feedback and construct an effective working environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate to fair and reasonable conclusions
  • Ability to work under pressure and be highly pro-active in prioritizing issues
  • Ability to adapt and respond rapidly to changing priorities and demands
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
  • Must be able to pass an agency criminal background check.
