IT Quality Analyst Senior (Senior Regression Tester)

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Senior Regression Tester supporting the eMedNY Production Regression Team, you will be trusted to examine and review daily regression results and re-baseline or determine if an issue exists. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Adjust test cases resulting from system changes, review System Integration Testing folders and plans to determine the possibility of adding to the Quality Assurance Regression (QAR) baseline.
• Add claim test cases to QAR Regression baseline and become familiar with operational aspects of the QAR Test lab.
• Create test scripts using Silk Test tool.
• Run and monitor scripts when appropriate.
• Run appropriate SQLs to determine status of claims and tables.
• Test scripts will contain SQL Queries executed via DBTester and the results compared with expected data of the application being tested.
• Review weekly cycle results, analyze, and compare results from previous week cycle execution. 
• Maintain Artifacts/documents Version control using Clearcase/Dimensions.
• Run SQL server queries to maintain / Cleanup SILKTEST results website.
• Add and adjust changes to specifications which includes system parameters and systems lists.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or a related discipline, plus 5 years of Quality Assurance or Information Technology experience
• Three (3) years or more with Medicaid/Healthcare claim transactions and an understanding of regression testing methodology
• Must be able to identify and learn new technologies quickly
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Experience with healthcare claims of all types
• Experience writing SQL Queries and understanding DB2 table relationships.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong organization and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment
• Prefer experience using automated testing tools to test mainframe JAVA, .net and Thin client applications.
• Experience with healthcare claims terminology and the health industry.  Knowledge of New York State Medicaid procedures is preferred but not required.
• Experience developing test plans and scripts in Segue SilkTest using 4Test language is preferred but not required.
• Experience writing SQL Queries and DBTester is preferred but not required.
• Prefer experience using automated testing tools to test both mainframe and Thin Client applications.
• Prefer experience using an automated testing tool to compare data returned by SQL queries with expected data returned by the application being tested.
