Job Description

GDIT has an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 response team.

In this role you will provide project management support for CDCs Text Illness Monitoring (TIM) system.

This is a temporary position until May 24, 2021 with the possibility of it being extended.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate meetings with CDC leadership and external partners.

  • Gather system requirements.

  • Develop and update communication materials for TIM users.

  • Develop and update processes to effectively support TIM activities.

  • Create and present reports on TIM status to response leadership as requested.

  • Provide technical assistance to TIM users.

  • Coordinate with the TIM vendor on enhancements and other activities.

  • Provide data analysis (via R, SAS, or STATA) and informatics support on system data and evaluation results

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills and Experience

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of related work experience

  • Experience providing technical assistance in support of an IT system

  • Effective organization and communication skills

  • Experience working with/in the CDC

Desired Skill and Experience

  • Masters degree in Public Health strongly preferred

  • 2+ years of leading projects strongly preferred

  • Complex project management, partner engagement, requirements gathering, and meeting facilitation experience

  • Experience with rapidly developing and implementing digital/tech and data solutions
