For the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), GDIT provides enterprise IT services for DHS’s biometric identity management system (IDENT) and the Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM) to store, match, share, and analyze biometric and biographic data in support of DHS’s strategic mission. GDIT’s O&M services support break-fix of current OBIM functional capabilities, as well as security remediation activities and developmental engineering (such as prototyping new code or configurations of OBIM functionality). GDIT is seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented Change Management Specialist.  Under management, leverage your strong facilitation and communication skills to effectively manage technology changes from project awareness to project buy-in/adoption. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Participate in the Technical Change Advisory Board and Technical Review Board meetings
• Assist in managing the Change Management process and lifecycle
• Promote Change Management processes through trainings
• Meet regularly with Service Area functional area staff to discuss current projects and plan for upcoming changes
• Coach colleagues on change activities and help identify regular maintenance activities
• Mentor colleagues on change management processes
• Coordinate responses for unplanned maintenance, including accelerated, emergency, and break/fix activities
• Generate weekly and monthly metrics on the Change Management process that tracks and report change request status (opened, approved, implemented, closed) and types (emergency, accelerated, normal, standard) by Service Area
• Develop and submit daily Operations reports, as well as present at Daily Service Review meetings
• Serve as back-up for the Change Management Lead including participation in Technical Review Board and Change Review Boards
• Provide support and assistance to other Operations Architecture Teams including participate in weekly Operations Architecture Meetings.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
• U.S. citizen
• DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
• BS and 8+ yrs related experience or or equivalent 

Desired Skills / Qualifications:
• Masters degree or 15+ years of relevant experience
• Degree in systems engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study
• Experience in configuration management planning
• Experience in change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits
• Experience identifying and maintaining configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation
• Experience in configuration change control and in regulating the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software
• Experience supporting quality assurance process audits.

Vaccination requirements will depend on the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements.

The likely salary range for this position is $81,200 - $121,800, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
