US BICES Subject Matter Expert (SOCEUR) - TS/SCI - Stuttgart, Germany

Candidate will work directly with the SOCEUR customer to understand and develop the US BICES footprint in support of SOCEUR operations. The candidate will work directly with MPE team members to ensure coordination and interoperability of the two environments. The candidate will assist with planning and requirements capturing in direct support of all SOCEUR exercises using US BICES.  Candidate will coordinate with SOCEUR and other components to facilitate open and frequent communications and ensure US BICES is effectively supported.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
  • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
  • Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
  • Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
  • Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
  • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced engineers.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of related network or systems engineering experience
  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • BA/BS required
  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT Level II (Security+) access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire
  • The work environment is fast paced and requires the ability to work on multiple projects at once and the ability to re-prioritize based on customer needs
  • Experience with maintaining information system compliance with DISA security policies and procedures (STIGs, IAVAs etc.)
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Previous experience supporting SOCEUR or other Special Operations Forces
  • Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required

This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide

The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment
