At GDIT, our people are at the center of everything we do.  GDIT is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst that will be responsible for preparing, analyzing and maintaining month-end reporting activities. A hybrid work model is offered for this position with in-office work at least one day a week in Chantilly or Falls Church, VA.

The candidate will be expected to collaborate across the Finance organization to identify billing and reporting opportunities and resolve current issues.  The candidate must possess critical thinking ability; and be self-motivated.

Your duties will include:

  • Creates, maintains, and updates financial spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required.
  • Prepares reports for monthly close, forecasting process and variance analysis.
  • Supports manager in consolidating, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested.
  • Collects and reviews financial data from various sources.
  • Act as focal point for communication of financials.
  • Provides support for audit requests
  • Conducts analysis of their organization’s practices and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as identified.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, plus 5 years related experience or 9 years related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency with computer use including relevant software applications such as MS Outlook and Office, as well as Excel and Powerpoint, and preferably: ORACLE, OBIEE, CostPoint, Cognos, BPM or related systems.
