DSRC Technical Lead will ensure all technical requirements of the contract at the DSRC are being met. Be the primary point-of-contact for the government Technical Director, or equivalent, of the DSRC and work in tandem to ensure the successful operations of the DSRC. Create appropriate teams and host meetings to develop timely responses to work requests and solve technical problems as they come up. Anticipate future requirements and provide feedback and recommendations to DSRC as needed. Work with the Site Lead to ensure appropriate skilled resources are applied to various projects to ensure projects are on time and under budget. Provide technical oversight to all projects performed at the DSRC, negotiating and adjusting resources as needed with the site lead to ensure timely completion of tasks. Attend Cross Center initiatives and/or capability meetings to ensure the DSRC is well-represented and bring back outcome of meetings to DSRC leadership. The technical lead must be cognizant of all DSRC technical activities as well as HPCMP activities to obviate communication gaps. The technical lead will ensure that the technical staff is meeting all skill level requirements. The technical lead will ensure the DSRC is represented appropriately on all Cross Center initiatives and capability teams.
Translates the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex High Performance Computing (HPC) solutions and integrating architecture environments with leading edge compute, network, and storage technologies. Will work along the side of leading HPC staff and researchers working to solve DoD’s most critical mission challenges . May include analysis of transition planning, intelligence information requirements, and may develop architecture baselines. Assists with and leads development of integration, migration plans/schedules. Additional responsibilities:
Create and maintain the architecture for the business process domain ensuring alignment with the organization's information technology priorities.
Develop and submit high level architectural expertise and deliverables for the technical staff and enterprise
Develop strategy of system and design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.
Advise on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, applications development, and systems.
Advise management on feasibility of potential projects.
Coordinate development efforts across multiple organizations
Establish requirements, design specifications, timelines, and integration path for project
Identify systems and/or applications that will improve center functions/processes
Integration of new technologies
Solicit, collect, and evaluate vendor proposals
Provide and exercise comparative selection criteria for new technology selection
Develop and implement integration plan for new technology components
Organize site preparation
Develop and implement test plans
Aide in the installation and configuration of the new technology
Coordinate user pioneer/early access programs for new technology components
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred
Seven or more years of experience
Must currently possess or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
