Internal Mobility is passionate about retaining our most precious resource, our internal talent.  We wake up every day energized and focused on how we can support GDIT and we want YOU on this mission with us.

GDIT is looking for an experienced Senior Talent Mobility Specialist to support the Intelligence & Homeland Security Division Internal Talent Mobility Program, which supports employees who are looking for career growth opportunities, and those whose positions are losing funding.  The ideal candidate is a champion for GDIT employees who can proactively mobilize internal talent, partner with TA/HR colleagues, and be a trusted partner with the business.

A day in the life:

  • Be a Champion for Internal Talent:  Engage with employees and educate and train on seeking new opportunities, resource tools for placement, status of applicant submittals, and career coaching (interviewing, resumes, etc…).  Partner across the business to leave no stone unturned for GDIT talent.
  • Execute Internal Mobility Strategies for a GDIT Sector:  Build relationships with business leaders, program managers, HR, and Talent Acquisition counterparts to learn the business, proactively engage on potential program impacts or mobility initiatives, and drive the internal placement of GDIT employees.  Share the mobility story by leveraging program content and data analytics to educate, identify trends, level set expectations, and be the voice of internal mobility.
  • Connect the Dots of Supply & Demand:  Know the skills of the internal talent in your portfolio and across internal mobility and the hiring needs of your business.  Collaborate across the internal mobility team, Divisions and Sectors to fill requisitions with GDIT talent.  GDIT talent is OUR talent.

What are we looking for in a successful candidate?

  • Customer Service Centric: You’re focused on consulting with the business and taking care of your customers’ needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high-quality service and assistance.

  • Process Oriented: You have experience working with processes and possess great attention to detail.
  • Self-driven: You have superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks. You don’t get overwhelmed easily and prefer to work with minimal supervision.
  • Fun: You are a charismatic people person who can talk to anyone; you’re flexible, fearless, and excited to help build something awesome and share it with the world.
  • Naturally Curious: You think outside the box.  You’re innovative, extremely creative, and constantly looking for ways to improve and optimize.
  • Master Juggler: You understand how to manage multiple priorities and understand how the little pieces fit together.
  • You are the ultimate team player
