GDIT has an exciting opportunity for an HVAC Technician at Ft. Bragg, NC. Must have a current and active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities:

Section leader.

Maintains a wide assortment of Military and Commercial Environmental Control Units, Power Generation Equipment, Electronic Modules/ Circuit Cards, providing sustainment and RESET. Performs analysis of system/ equipment functional operations, gather system/ equipment fault symptoms to determine a logical course of troubleshooting technique.  

Utilizes electronic schematics, line drawings, electrical diagrams, Technical Manuals, test procedures, flow charts, specialized tools, refrigerant service equipment and hardware and software diagnostic instrumentation, TMDE (Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment) and troubleshooting procedures to isolate and repair defective equipment.  

Provides welding and brazing support for ECU and IEW Systems. 
Function as RSC Safety Officer as an additional duty.
 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a current Secret Clearance.
  • AA/AS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience.
  • Welding certifications.
  • HVAC Certified
  • EPA Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling Certified.
