Our work depends on a EHR Business Analyst – Senior joining our team to support our EHR HIT Modernization program. This a remoted-based role.  Candidate must live in the U.S.

As a Cerner EHR Business Analyst supporting the Federal initiative, you will be in a prominent role on an Electronic Health Record (EHR) modernization program, which includes leading analysis efforts across financial, clinical, and operational areas for the technical team.  As an EHR Business Analyst you will be trusted to work with clinicians, developers, and federal staff to document changes and requirements for clinical applications. In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Analyze user needs to determine functional and nonfunctional requirements for a wide variety of projects across clinical, financial, and operational/administrative areas.
  • Develop use cases based on requirements analysis.
  • Write and update project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.
  • Contribute to test case development and perform test validation at various levels including database validation, logging validation, and user interface validation.
  • Coordinate communications across functional teams and respond to inquiries from the client, clinicians, field personnel, developers, and other customers.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.
  • Perform functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HIT (Healthcare Information Technology / Cerner EHR platforms) work experience 
  • 5+ years’ experience as a business analyst to include experience with clinical, financial, and operational business processes
  • 2+ years’ experience with the Cerner EHR Platform
  • Experience creating formal requirements documentation
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Work successfully with different teams and co-workers.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks, if necessary, handle changing priorities, be detail oriented, and able to work independently
  • The successful candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL:
  • Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.  / Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.

PREFERRED:
  • Knowledge of health, and health finance, terminology
  • Knowledge of health privacy regulations (HIPAA, 42CFR Part II, etc.)
  • Experience in federal projects and familiarity with HHS EPLC processes.
  • IIBA certification Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
  • Agile certification such as Scrum Alliance CSM

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $80,226 - $133,973, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
