At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Web Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to work on in-house web based-based productivity tools, web servers, applications and databases.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Solid understanding of and experience with JavaScript and Node.js
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience creating and integrating with RESTful Web APIs
• Experience working with MongoDB (creating, querying, updating and deleting objects, collections and databases
• Experience working in Linux and Windows environments; experience working with the Linux terminal
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience.
• Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
• Technical Skills: JAVA Script, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, MongoDB, Linux, Windows

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience writing automated tests
• Experience creating web applications from scratch
• Experience working with the maintaining web servers
• Experience working with IIS and or Nginx
• Experience working with AWS (General server management, Storage volume management and backups)
• Experience in MongoDB database management (managing database users and permissions, managing database clusters, maintaining replication
• Experience with, or a working knowledge of, authentication and authorization systems and standards
• Experience with or a working knowledge of, we security standards
• Experience with, or a working knowledge of, network systems and protocols

Performs all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs.

Creates a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.

Performs software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs.

Prepares and analyzes reports on software project specifications, activities, or status.

Document the software or system process for future maintenance and updates.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of experience.
