Job Description

Our work depends on Deputy Network Security Manager joining our team to be responsible for the network security artifacts and supports the ISSO to achieve and maintain the system Authorities to Operate (ATO). This individual is responsible for the management and provisioning of security services and service restoration in compliance to customer SLAs.

HOW THE NETWORK SECURITY MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Deputy Manager for a team of 15+ Network Security Engineers who are responsible for the infrastructure and administration of Cisco ASA Firewalls, Network Access Control, Remote Access, and Load Balancing solutions
  • Managing security documentation requirements to maintain an ATO and fulfill continuous monitoring program requirements
  • Understand design/solutions for network infrastructure/architecture
  • Ensuring that the program is compliant with Federal system security controls to ensure compliance with NIST policies
  • Developing, distributing and/or presenting all security-related information and training across the Network Services program
  • Leading the response to any/all network security incidents and events
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and problem-solving a wide variety of client/user network security issues and acting as an escalation point for these issues
  • Managing and coordinating lifecycle device management of network security systems
  • Developing and maintaining an effective and productive relationship with government security personnel and their stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction with the overall security posture
  • Producing weekly activity report and monthly status reports, including accomplishments, planned activities, performance, etc.
  • Conducting routine review of policies and procedures to lead to process, performance, or security posture improvement
  • Hiring and performance management for employees and subcontractors
  • Maintaining relationships with key Third-Party software/hardware vendors to provide support for the security infrastructure as needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, and 5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent years of experience)
  • Network Security experience
  • One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CCNP, CCIE
  • Experience supporting the administration of Cisco ASA Firewalls, Network Access Control, Remote Access, and Load Balancing solutions
  • Experience with ensuring program compliance with Federal system security controls and NIST policies
  • Must be able to obtain a NIH Public Trust

PREFEERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience leading a Network Security team
  • Experience supporting the administration of Cisco ASA Firewalls, Network Access Control, Remote Access, and Load Balancing solutions
  • CCNP/CCDP, CCIE certifications
  • Cisco SISE certification
  • Experience with Cisco wireless LAN controllers
  • Experience with Forescout security products
  • Experience configuring Cisco ASAs and switches
  • Experience configuring 802.1X
  • Experience configuring and implementing network segmentation including VLANs and MPLS
  • Experience with multiple end-system operating systems including Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and Apple IOS
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Visio
