Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our Army Installation Support Modules (ISM) Project.  The ideal candidate will have experience in Oracle Solaris 10 and Solaris 11.4 operating systems. Candidate should possess knowledge in Oracle virtual machines (VM) for SPARC, and Solaris Zones. Must have experience building, managing Solaris server ldoms & non-global zones from Flash archives. Must know how to manage Solaris Boot Environments. Have experience with SPARC hardware; T5 and SPARC64X+ or newer. Be able to troubleshoot/address performance issues. Candidate must know how to patch Oracle Solaris control/service domains, ldoms & zones. Typical duties are coordinating maintenance, troubleshooting technical problems, ensuring network security, collaborating with various departments and partners. Must be able to perform day to day maintenance & monitoring of server infrastructure. Should have excellent communication and analytic skills.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Must have experience in Unix Shell/scripting in Solaris Environment.
  • Experience in Oracle Solaris IPS Management
  • Knowledgeable/experience in IP multipathing, fiber multipathing
  • Must be able to integrate various technologies 
  • Must know how to build & compile source code into a deployable Solaris packages, Apache HTTP Server, openssl+fips, various utilities, this requires use of gcc, and knowing how to modify source code to suit needs 
  • Must be able to create SSL certificate requests using openssl, and assemble java truststores
  • Must be knowledgeable with Oracle ZS3-2/ZS5-2 storage appliances and optical fiber attached storage
  • Must be versed in Oracle Solaris ZFS
  • Experience in administering Apache Tomcat
  • Experience in administering SVN (Subversion)
  • Experience with JIRA (Install/patch/admin), Fisheye/Crucible (Install/patch/admin)
  • Must have experience using a serial Console server/manager
  • Candidate MUST have experience to perform hardware repairs when necessary and not provided by the vendor (Oracle)
  • Ability to create/edit/update documentation
  • Experience in applying Solaris patches and support to all the ISM environments (Prod/COOP/Test/Training/Development)
  • Various server OS & hardware troubleshooting
  • WebLogic/AEM Forms server/Oracle BI Publisher/JEE applications: Senior Applications engineer,
  • WebLogic Application Server, OJDBC Connection pool management
  • Must know how to deploy web applications to WebLogic, have ability to author WebLogic Scripting Tool jython/python scripts.
  • Must have experience patching Oracle WebLogic servers and keep them up to date.
  • Must have Apache HTTP Server experience and know how to write regular expressions for Rewrite Rules as needed.
  • Must have experience with Oracle HTTP server.
  • Must have experience with Oracle Wallets for use with Oracle DB SSL listeners and WebLogic internal security infrastructure.
  • Apply Weblogic/BI/Adobe AEM patches
  • Various application server Software & ISM application troubleshooting Security:
  • Review ACAS scans
  • Review SCAP findings
  • Develop mitigation strategy for security vulnerabilities.
  • Documentation


Required Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security +
  • Computing Environment (Oracle Solaris Administration, etc.)


Security Clearance Level:

  • Active DoD SECRET security clearance required.


Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Oracle Advanced Queuing.
  • Knowledge of Linux Operating System, Administration, and Performance Tuning

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
