Our work depends on a Senior Software Developer-InterSystems Technologies joining our team to support our work for Indian Health Services (IHS)

This is remote based role. Candidates must reside in the US

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Research; design; develop and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
  • Design; develop; code; test; and debug complex new software products; or makes significant enhancements to existing software.
  • Research and integrates design strategies; product specifications; development schedules; and user expectations into product capabilities.
  • Provides user support for tickets that require troubleshooting and analysis by development team
  • Resolves complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.
  • Supports application user interface accessibility requirements by understanding and applying best-practice and industry standard approached for meeting Section 508 and WCAG accessibility guidelines to application designs and development.
  • Supports writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals; system documentation; and training materials.
  • Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software operating systems and application issues.
  • Advises hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems; such as storage capacity; processing speed; and input/output requirements.
  • Prepares reports on analyses; findings; and project progress.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science; Engineering or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical training; or work/military experience.
  • 8-10 years of related software development experience.
  • 5 Years of Experience with InterSystems technologies, specifically Mumps(M) programming language and Ensemble/HealthShare Integration Engine
  • Working knowledge and experience with Agile development processes.
  • Must be able to obtain Position of Public Level 5 Clearance.

The likely salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
