GDIT is seeking a Release Train Engineerto provide support for the Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering contract. This position will require the employee to report full-time onsite in Fort Meade, MD or Chantilly, VA.
The Release Train Engineer will be responsible for the guidance and leading the Agile Release Train (ART), and the teams through the delivery of software and services, while embracing and promoting the Agile attitude. You will partner with vendors, contractors, government clients, and others to define the mission value and prioritize work to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
Additional responsibilities include:
Establish cadence, facilitate, and drive the agile ceremonies such as PI Planning, Product Owner Sync, Scrum Calls, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt Workshop, Innovation and Sprint Planning events.
Summarize Program PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and openness.
Facilitate escalation for impediment removal for the Scrum teams by fostering collaboration throughout the ART.
Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a continuous exploration process which drives the vision, roadmap, and backlogs through Pre- and Post-PI planning meetings.
Collaborate with the communities of practice and identify and deploy key metrics to enable continuous improvement across the development teams.
Identify and direct the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality of the product.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
10 years’ experience.
Must be able to obtain a ScrumAlliance’s Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile’s Release Train Engineer certification within 60 days of hire.
Experience with Agile software development.
Experience with commercial cloud services.
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Able to report onsite as indicated
Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile’s Release Train Engineer certification
PMP, ITIL, and/or SixSigma certifications.
