At GDIT, people are our differentiator. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Responsible for verification of builds, scripts, installation procedures, source code control, and issue tracking. 
  • Responsible for reviewing, verifying, and validating SDLC documentation such as SCM Plan, PDE, Programmers Manual, and Reference Manual to ensure technical accuracy, readability, and completeness. 
  • Works closely with Software Assurance Analysts to ensure release version is the version tested and to be released nationally. 
  • Responsible for ensuring software release and distribution packages are under configuration control, identifying any deficiencies, and ensuring proper archival. 
  • Proposes changes to satisfy documentation requirements, project objectives, and proposes updates to documentation to satisfy those requirements. 
  • Responsible for ensuring requirements traceability throughout the SDLC including the PDE, change management tool, and source code.  
  • Responsible for conducting and observing builds, understanding how the build is conducted, and reporting results. 
  • Must be able to write technically accurate and detailed Software Build Reports, Media Comparison Reports, and TARs. 
  • Must track release to process compliance and schedule. 
  • Must have knowledge of IEEE standards and templates.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Quality assurance in a software development environment, including Windows, VMS, Linux, and/or UNIX environments
  • Reviewing, verifying, and validating SDLC documentation
  • Ensuring requirements traceability throughout all SDLC documentation including test cases and test results
  • Writing technical reports that are technically accurate, complete, and correct

The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.  We can only accept Green Card Holders or US Citizens for this program.
