The Linux Engineer provides services in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). You will support the design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to employ specified NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Deployed Forces (DF) portion of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). You will review, analyze and Tier III support for patches and updates, to include testing the baseline in the Engineering Operations Facility (EOF) prior to release to the RCCs. You will also develop Enterprise Technical Procedures (ETPs) with the directions to apply patches, upgrades and security configurations and/or updates to the baseline system in the EOF for testing IAW with the STIGs. We are looking to hire a full-time ArcSight Application Engineer to support our IT services contract located at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
Provide planning, design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to the SIMS project.
SIMS expertise, knowledge, skills and certifications.
Operational experience in implementation and sustainment of NetOps capabilities across all operational and strategic echelons in the LWN to include Joint components in support of the Army’s GNE/NSC. Experienced in systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and engineering.
Provide NetOps engineering support for the integration of the SIMS NetOps capability into the Army’s global Enterprise from the site level up, consisting of, but not limited to, ArcSight® Enterprise Security Manager (ESM), ArcSight® Database, ArcSight® Consoles, and ArcSight® Loggers.
Industry/Operational experience in implementation and sustainment of NetOps capabilities across all operational and strategic echelons in the LWN to include Joint components in support of the Army’s GNE/NSC.
Experienced in systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and engineering.
Industry work experience in ArcSight®ESM
Knowledge of Windows and Linux Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and current DISA’s hardening protocol.
Coordinate, review and maintain system documentation.
Participates in special projects as required.
BA/BS or equivalent experience
DoD 8570.1-M Certification: IAT Level II Certification
Clearance: Must be willing and able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance upon hire
