Company to streamline and centralize healthcare operations with advanced technology services to support more than 140,000 members including survivors and responders impacted by 9/11
FALLS CHURCH, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), announced today it was awarded a new $309 million contract by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program in October 2025.
The WTC Health Program provides medical monitoring and treatment for more than 140,000 members suffering from health conditions as a result of their exposures at and following the September 11, 2001, attacks in New York City, at the Pentagon, and the Shanksville, Pennsylvania, crash site.
Under this contract, GDIT will streamline the program’s healthcare operations, including managing member enrollment, expanding the provider network, administering medical benefits, processing claims and overseeing data management. The company will leverage its advanced technologies to drive efficiencies and automate processes across the program, improving accuracy and supporting timely access to care.
