HEALTHCARE CLAIMS ASSISTANT II
Solve real-world challenges that impact the frontlines of public health, life science, and clinical research initiatives as a Healthcare Claims Assistant II at GDIT. You’ll support the mission and grow with it, building a meaningful career in health.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Healthcare Claims Assistant II, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of North Carolina Medicaid. You will play a crucial role in processing orthodontic prior approval requests.
● Support clinically licensed review staff by preparing orthodontic cases for review timely and accurately.
● Collaborate with team lead, supervisor, orthodontic review staff, and other prior approval team members.
● Drive timely and accurate reviews and decisions on orthodontic cases and success meeting our contractual service level agreements.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your healthcare expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Healthcare Claims Assistant II must have:
● Education: High School Diploma/GED
● Experience: 1+ years of related experience
● Technical skills:
- Dental/Orthodontic office experience a plus
- Medicaid/NCTracks experience a plus
- MS Office proficient - particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Problem solving skills
- Data Entry experienceSuperior organizational workflow skills (ability to work through large volumes quickly while staying organized)
● Security clearance level: None
● US citizenship required: Yes
● Role requirements: Hybrid work environment; Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm EST

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $18.70 - $25.30. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
