Job Description

GDIT is seeking a PowerApps Developer to help support one of our contracts. This is a full-time remote position.

NOTE: Candidates will be required to work 9am to 5pm, Eastern Time, Monday – Friday, excluding government holidays.

The PowerApps Developer provides both canvas and model-driven apps based on internal and external data sources, works collaboratively with the client to identify critical requirements and future needs, and sustains current PowerApp solutions. The PowerApps developer should have a strong development background which translates to PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Power FX.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

  • Design, develop, and sustain both model-driven and canvas apps using premium connectors and various data sources, including Dataverse, SQL Server, SharePoint, and external APIs
  • Organize and analyze incoming requirements, identify minimum viable product, and collaborate with leadership to identify schedule milestones.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and with varying degrees of autonomy, to sustain and enhance team PowerApp solutions.
  • Design and create relational data models within Dataverse to include data export for single document data retention.
  • Follow development best practices using reusable components, custom pages, and modern controls; ensure performance optimization and elegant UX.
  • Integrate with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive, and external APIs (via custom connectors).
  • Write and maintain Power Fx, JavaScript (form scripting/PCF optional), React, commits and merge requests to include familiarity with VS Code, Node.js, and other development environments.
  • Develop Power Automate flows optimized for error handling, retry, and exception patterns.
  • Prepare requests to deploy using Solutions (managed/unmanaged), environment variables, connection references, and pipelines across multiple environments.
  • Perform solution reviews for quality and compliance.
  • Contribute to sustainment activities via incident remediation, approved enhancements, release notes, documentation, support processes, and incident response.
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance policies within the Power Platform ecosystem.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizen (must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship – i.e. US Birth Certificate, US Passport, Certificate of Naturalization/Citizenship)
  • Clearance Level: No Clearance required, but previously clearance candidates preferred.
  • Security Level: Must have held a CAC (Common Access Card) within the past 2 years
  • Certification: Current CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree and >1 year of experience or High School Diploma and 4 years of experience.
  • Years’ Experience: >1 years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of Canvas and model-driven Apps, data sources, data modeling, and connectors.
    • Code-based background to include JavaScript, Python, Power FX
    • Knowledge of or familiarity with coding languages (to create Apps)
    • Knowledge of SharePoint, Dataverse, and other integration tools.
  • Location: This is a remote position anywhere in the United States.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Power BI and Co-Pilot.
  • PL-900 or PL-200 certification.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $72,877 - $98,599. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
