This role is responsible for maintaining configuration control of systems, equipment, and documentation while coordinating logistics activities that support mission execution, sustainment, and operational readiness. The individual will work closely with government stakeholders, project management, technical teams, and vendors to ensure accurate configuration tracking, disciplined change management, and timely logistics support in accordance with contract requirements and government directions.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Configuration Manager & Sustainment Coordinator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of U.S. Army Europe. You will play a crucial role in mission command support for U.S. and NATO forces in Poznan Poland.
Maintain configuration control of program systems, equipment, and associated documentation using established configuration management plans and processes.
Track and document system configurations, baselines, changes, and approvals throughout the system lifecycles
Support configuration change management processes by receiving, tracking, analyzing, and documenting configuration change requests.
Maintain configuration management repositories, records, and trackers to ensure accuracy, traceability, ad audit readiness.
Coordinate with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and logistics personnel to ensure configuration changes are properly documented and reflected in system baselines.
Support configuration audits, reviews, and inspections as required by the government.
Prepare configuration and logistics status reports, documentation, and briefings for program leadership and government stakeholders.
Plan, coordinate, and track logistics activities supporting personnel, systems, equipment, and operational missions.
Coordinate equipment movement, shipping receiving, storage, inventory, and accountability in accordance with DoD and contract requirements.
Support asset tracking, inventory management, and sustainment documentation for program equipment and materials.
Coordinate vendor support, deliveries, and sustainment activities to meet operational timelines.
Assist with logistics planning for deployments, site activations relocations, and sustainment operations.
Serve as a coordination point between government representatives, program management, technical teams, and vendors for configuration and logistics activities.
Track action items, risks, and issues related to configuration management and logistics execution and communicate them to leadership
Support program meetings, technical reviews, and working groups by providing configuration and logistics inputs.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation to support audits, reporting, and government oversight.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your Configuration Management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Configuration Manager must have:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, additional years of experience can be substituted for degree requirement.
Experience: Three (3) years or more of relevant experience supporting configuration management and logistics, sustainment, or operational support.
Technical skills: Familiarity with configuration control processing including tracking baselines, changes, assets and documentation; Ability to coordinate effectively across functional teams and stakeholders, including technical teams; Clear written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing routine documentation or status updates; Experience working with configuration management tools, assets databases, or tracking systems (ServiceNow).
Security clearance level: Active DoD Secret clearance with SSBI eligibility (at minimum)

Role requirements: Must be DOD 8140 compliant at IAT Level II at time of hire (Sec+ Ce or approved IAT Level II)

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
