Job Description

GDIT MAINES contract has a requirement for an experienced Senior Network Manager to join our Network and Security Operations team for our ITS-EPA IV Managed Application, Infrastructure, Networking, Enterprise, and Security Services (MAINES) Contract in support of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Job Description

Manage the development of policies and procedures and ensures their conformance with the departments goals and company/customer objectives.

Manages the development and administration of schedule and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities

Manages and prioritizes network needs and analyzes project costs and feasibility

Keeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trends and then plans and advises for implementation

Oversees assigned resources for ordering process to meet objectives effectively and economically

Manages vendor relationships

Provides guidance and solutions to ensure the network needs align with the strategic departmental initiatives

Responsible for long-term planning, including circuit forecasts, traffic studies, and other network performance criteria

SCOPE OF ROLE: Manages a medium to large team or department of multiple disciplines. Medium to High Complexity.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience

Job Requirements:

Experience with leading zero trust network framework

Experience managing Zscaler product suite

Experience with cloud technologies (ie AWS DX/Transit Gateway/VPC routing)

Experience with MPLS

Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities

In depth knowledge of Cisco products

In depth knowledge of F5

In depth knowledge of routing/switching/wireless

Proven ability to provide oversight and guidance in design, configuration, and deployment

Manager will serve as a technical escalation for all network related incidents and problems

Manager will serve as coach and mentor for network engineering team developing overall skill set

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $131,750 - $178,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
