Job Description

GDIT is searching for a Network Engineer to support our customer in Wiesbaden, Germany. The Network Engineer is responsible for analyzing customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity. They will be responsible for performing installing, configuring, maintaining, patching, monitoring, and replacing/upgrading networks equipment to include servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and cryptographic equipment.

As a Network Engineer Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of U.S. Army Europe. You will play a crucial role in providing mission command support.

  • Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies
  • Coordinating hardware and software acquisition. Recommend build of materials for identified projects.
  • Creating plans and configures systems for data communication networks
  • Creating network diagrams, documenting configurations, and documenting procedures.
  • Supporting the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
  • Plan, install, configure, and maintain network equipment to include patching and security compliance.
  • Plan, install, maintain, and troubleshoot physical infrastructure including cable management.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of current network configurations, security compliance, issues, and resolutions.
  • Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and cryptographic equipment.
  • Plan and perform network recovery support for unscheduled outages and afterhours support (travel required for offsite locations)
  • Act as team lead to assign tasks, coach and provide guidance to teammates. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer Senior must have:

  • Security Clearance Required: Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI
  • Certification: Candidates must have a valid DoD 8570.2/8140 IAT II certification; CCNA certified
  • Skills: Experience diagraming networks. Experience supporting DoD Networks.
  • Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
  • Must be German TESA eligible

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
