Job Description

PHYSICAL SECURITY MANAGER

GDIT is seeking to fill a Physical Security/Facilities Manager position to support the Global Citizen Services FED CIV DIFF CL.  The Physical Security/Facilities Manager must have a strong background with federal physical security requirements and construction of secure areas and force entry items (Doors, Windows, and walls).  Manage the operation and maintenance of the overseas facilities, equipment, and systems, along with other assigned duties; Plan and execute building overseas and domestic projects, including scheduling and coordination with internal / external stakeholders.  The position will require approximately 30% +/- overseas travel.  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the overall physical security, operation and maintenance of the overseas facilities, equipment, and grounds
  • Management and oversight of alarm systems, access control systems, camera systems and onsite security guards
  • Assist with overseas investigations, documentation and developing incident reports
  • Ensure compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), 12FAH-5 Physical Security Standards and associated government regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Participates in the development and implementation of security procedures in coordination with government agencies and program management.
  • Ensures that local managers are familiar with GDIT policies and government regulations
  • Provide remodel designs for new facilities and upgrades to existing facilities
  • Work with local managers to plan the facility’s organizational structure to support growth and shifting priorities
  • Identifies needs for equipment leases/purchases, and contracted services
  • Negotiates vendor contracts and maintains effective working relationships
  • Work with GDIT facilities, legal and contracted real estate company to find and lease new facilities or return the property to the landlord
  • Ensures projects meet established specifications and budgets, including obtaining required licenses and permits
  • Will serve as a liaison to leasing and property management organizations, as well as planning commissions
  • Overseas travel for construction project oversite, inspections, surveys and project sign-off


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED


The Physical Security Manager must have:


● Education: Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related experience
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Technical skills: Ability to use CAD software, Security, Engineering, Architecture, Business or Technical Training/Certifications is preferred, Small scale construction experience is a plus.
● Security clearance level: An active SECRET clearance. Must be able to maintain a SECRET Clearance
● US citizenship required
● Role requirements: Role is hybrid with up to 30% overseas travel each year.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
